How to send a tech pack to your factory

Emailing a loose PDF is how version chaos starts. Factories ask “is this the latest?” when measurements live in one file and flats in another.

What to send (minimum)

One current version with every sheet the factory needs to quote and sample — flats, BOM, POM with tolerances, construction, and colorways if applicable.

  • Cover or style sheet with style number and revision date
  • Flats with construction callouts
  • BOM with fabric GSM and trim specs
  • Measurement chart with ± tolerances
  • Revision log if anything changed since last send

Share one read-only link

SendToSample generates a factory share link at /r/[slug] with all sheets and your Factory-Ready Score checklist. The factory opens it in a browser — no account, no editing your source files.

When you regenerate a sheet, the same link updates so everyone works from one version.

Related questions

Should I send PDF or a link?
Many factories prefer PDF for archiving; a live link helps during active sampling when specs change weekly. Pro exports include PDF; the share link keeps the factory on the latest version.
Do factories need login to view my pack?
Not with SendToSample share links. Optional password protection is available if you want to restrict access.
